Board of Directors Farewell for The Honorable Martina A. Strong, Ambassador of the United States to the United Arab Emirates

AmCham Abu Dhabi’s Board of Directors had the honor of hosting a Farewell Dinner in tribute to Ambassador Martina A. Strong.

The evening brought together distinguished guests from the U.S. Embassy’s Commercial and Economic Sections and AmCham’s Elite Members. The gathering was a testament to the strong bonds forged under Ambassador Strong’s leadership and her steadfast commitment to the U.S.-U.A.E. business partnership.

Chairperson of AmCham Abu Dhabi, Lina Lampkin, shared sincere and moving remarks, honoring Ambassador Strong’s visionary diplomacy, strategic insight, and collaborative approach. She commended the Ambassador’s efforts to champion American businesses and elevate bilateral commercial engagement throughout her tenure. 

The Board of Directors presented Ambassador Strong with a copy of the newest publication, Story Lines, a book by an AmCham microSME member, whose community initiative seeks to raise awareness about senior citizens in the UAE by sharing their unique personal stories. It was a fitting gift to honor the culture and history of the UAE through its people.

The networking and conversations by members in attendance reflected warmly on the Ambassador’s many achievements, recounting meaningful moments that marked her impactful leadership. The evening served as an expression of gratitude and camaraderie, as well as an opportunity to convey best wishes from our community to the Ambassador in her future endeavors.

The ambience of Finz Restaurant provided a beautiful waterfront setting with a fabulous dinner by executive Chef Luca at the Beach Rotana Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
