AmCham Abu Dhabi Serves as Strategic Partner for Celebration of Healthcare Heroes at WHX Dubai 2026

AmCham Abu Dhabi, in partnership with Kallman Worldwide, Inc., served as a strategic partner for the Celebration of Healthcare Heroes, convened during World Health Expo (WHX) Dubai 2026, recognizing healthcare professionals whose leadership, service, and innovation continue to shape the future of healthcare in the UAE.
The evening brought together leading healthcare institutions — including Emirates Health Services (EHS UAE), Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Burjeel Holdings, Mediclinic Middle East, and Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) — alongside AI and oncology leaders, hospital CEOs, department heads, and Emirati youth. Together, participants recognized outstanding medical professionals while reinforcing the importance of leadership and purpose in healthcare.
Among the 2026 honorees was Ahmed Shatila, nominated by AmCham Abu Dhabi in recognition of his leadership and contribution to the healthcare community. The award was received on his behalf by Lina El Labban Lampkin, Chairwoman of AmCham Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Shatila was honored alongside a distinguished group of healthcare leaders, including Mariam Mohamed Fatima Matar, Shahrukh Hashmi, Ammar Albanna, Usman Ahmad, Khaled Al Huraimel, Aysha Al Mehri, Stephen R. Grobmyer, Shaheenah Dawood, Hyung Seok Nam, Humaid Al-Shamsi, and Kanad Hospital.
As part of the program, each Healthcare Hero was featured in a superhero-inspired comic series, translating real-world medical impact into accessible stories of courage, innovation, and leadership. Designed to engage younger audiences, the initiative highlighted healthcare achievements across hospitals, laboratories, and communities throughout the UAE.
AmCham Abu Dhabi’s engagement in the Celebration of Healthcare Heroes reflects its continued commitment to supporting leadership, education, and excellence across key sectors, while fostering dialogue and collaboration within the U.S.–UAE healthcare ecosystem.
