Andrew Mackenzie is a Partner and Regional Head of Litigation, Arbitration & Regulatory (Middle East) at DLA Piper, based in the UAE.
Andrew has lived and worked in the UAE for over 16 years and advises multinational companies, investors, financial institutions, government-related entities and family businesses on complex disputes, regulatory risk and cross-border business issues across the Middle East. His work regularly involves helping international businesses navigate the commercial, legal and cultural dynamics of operating in the UAE and wider Gulf region.
Andrew serves as Vice Chair of the Legal Affairs Committee (LAC) for AmCham Abu Dhabi, where he supports dialogue on legal, regulatory and policy issues affecting the business community. He is an active supporter of the U.S.–UAE business relationship and has worked closely with U.S. companies, investors and professional networks seeking to understand and access opportunities across the Gulf.
As a candidate for the Chair of the LAC AmCham Abu Dhabi, Andrew would bring a strong commitment to member engagement, cross-border collaboration and the continued growth of AmCham as a platform for business dialogue, advocacy and community. He is keen to support initiatives that strengthen AmCham’s value to members, promote deeper U.S.–UAE commercial ties, and create opportunities for companies of all sizes to connect, contribute and thrive.
Andrew is standing for election because he believes AmCham Abu Dhabi has an important role to play in supporting a dynamic, inclusive and highly engaged business community at a time of significant opportunity for the UAE and the wider region.
