AmCham Abu Dhabi Member Northslope Joins The OpenAI Deployment Company

Northslope arrived in Abu Dhabi with a model built around implementation, bringing engineering expertise directly into customer organizations to turn AI ambition into working systems.

When the applied AI company opened its first regional office in Abu Dhabi earlier this year, it had a clear conviction: the UAE is one of the places where the next phase of artificial intelligence is moving from ambition to implementation.

That conviction has since been borne out in a significant way.

The OpenAI Deployment Company (DeployCo) has acquired Northslope, bringing the company and its Forward Deployed Engineers into an organization created to help enterprises put frontier AI to work across their most important operations.

DeployCo works with clients helping define the future of their industries, closing the gap between increasingly powerful AI models and the value companies actually derive from them by deploying frontier AI into everyday work.

The acquisition expands the OpenAI Deployment Company’s presence across the U.S., Europe and the Middle East. It follows the acquisition of Tomoro AI earlier this year, an AI deployment firm with offices in London, Edinburgh, Singapore, Melbourne and Sydney.
Northslope is a top-tier member of AmCham Abu Dhabi, part of a business community that brings together established global leaders and ambitious new companies helping shape the future of the U.S.-UAE commercial relationship.

Northslope’s Forward Deployed Engineers combine engineering expertise with an understanding of how a business actually operates, building AI systems around real workflows, decisions and missions.

Northslope formally opened its Abu Dhabi office in June, led by Managing Partner Harvey Young.

“We’re well into the work of building AI into everyday business operations, and Abu Dhabi’s pace and ambition are a big part of why we’re here,” said Harvey Young, Managing Partner at Northslope. “Joining the OpenAI Deployment Company is an exciting next step for our team as we help customers turn that ambition into systems people can use in their daily work.”

Its Abu Dhabi expansion reflected Northslope’s confidence that the emirate was creating the infrastructure, talent and environment needed to move AI from possibility into practical use.

For AmCham members, the significance extends beyond the acquisition itself. It offers a window into the caliber of companies, executives and ideas increasingly converging in Abu Dhabi and within the AmCham Abu Dhabi community.

Our network creates opportunities for leaders across technology, investment, healthcare, aerospace, energy, professional services and other industries to connect with peers who are shaping the UAE’s economic transformation.

That is central to AmCham Abu Dhabi’s mission: Connect. Engage. Grow.

By bringing together companies at the forefront of U.S. innovation with the institutions and business leaders driving the UAE’s economic ambitions, AmCham helps create a community where relationships, expertise and opportunity intersect.

Northslope’s path from establishing its Abu Dhabi operation to joining the OpenAI Deployment Company reflects that broader story, and the kind of company members encounter across the AmCham Abu Dhabi network.
