Brian Long

Brian Long is the regional managing director for Middle East and North Africa for Boeing International. In this role, Long has responsibility to establish and implement the company’s strategic vision throughout the region. He also leads the company’s relationships with foreign governments and officials, industry leaders, media, policy and academic institutions.

Long’s previous assignment was senior manager and chief of staff to the vice president of Business Development for Defense, Space & Security and Global Services’ Government Services. There, he provided strategic counsel to the vice president and leadership team responsible for company growth in the defense, space and government services markets.

Prior to this role, Long served as the senior manager in the International Business Development organization, where he led a team responsible for ensuring sales objectives were aligned with all international air shows, exhibits and key international customer engagements.

Long returned to the United States in 2019 after two years as the senior sales and marketing representative in the United Arab Emirates. While there, he developed and captured new business
that exceeded the company’s long-range business plan and ensured a high level of customer satisfaction on Boeing platforms.

Prior to his time in the UAE, Long held positions in Program Management and Supplier Management. Highlights include his work as program manager leading a team of Boeing employees and representatives from Polish industry on a campaign to bring the AH-64E Apache to Poland. He also led a team of procurement agents in the execution of production contracts for multiple Boeing programs.

Long began his Boeing career as a procurement agent where he led offset projects in Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

Long holds a Bachelor of Science in supply chain management from Arizona State University with a concentration in international business. During his undergraduate studies he lived in Hong Kong and Shanghai where he studied Mandarin Chinese and logistics. He also holds a Global Master of Business Administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.
