Candidate’s Statement

If Elected:

  • Will work closely with Committees to bring more value-add for their members aiming for smaller and more focused engagements with stakeholders they identify.
  • Support expanding the reach to other organizations whose mission and purpose align with AmCham’s such as and not limited to professional relevant societies operating in the Abu Dhabi EcoSystem!
  • Embrace fresh blood addition to the committees to drive new insights, innovative engagements, expanded networking as well as succession and continuity.

Candidate’s Bio

Samer Najm is a multi-disciplined professional with varied work experience gained in sales, business development, account and project managment, international consultancy, and academic research over the past 25  years in the Energy, Environment, Industrial Automation and Simulation fields

In May of 2022, Samer joined Emerson as Strategic Account Director covering ADNOC. He is managing related customer and government relationships and orchestrating the corporate-wide account strategy aligning products, services, solutions and driving mutually valued productivity, growth and profitability.

Before joining Emerson, Samer held various roles with Invensys Middle East, GE O&G – Control Solutions, Baker Hughes – Bently Nevada gowing his regions and securing regional & global recognition for his achievements.

Samer is a graduate of American University of Beirut and has a B. Eng. in Electrical Engineering. He also holds a MBA from University of Wales, MSc in Petroleumn Engineering from the University of Aberdeen and a M.Div. from the Near East School of Theology with focus on EcoTheology.

Samer is married and blessed with two boys of 16 and 12 years old and plans to continue balancing family life and career while progressing his education.
