Being a board member of AmCham Abu Dhabi and Chair of its Healthcare Committee for several years, “health and healthcare” more than ever unite us. We are at a pivotal time to engage, partner and advocate for the value healthcare and other industries can bring to the ecosystem in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.

Our city is showcasing to the World, its visionary leadership in moving from healthcare to health – a vision I will support hand in hand with members colleagues from the technology, biotech, energy, defense, education and other member companies as we build a sustainable healthier future.

Candidate’s Bio

Ayman Mokhtar is a global executive, advancing innovative approaches that enable healthcare sectors to provide access to quality medications and innovative health solutions to all.

With more than two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Mokhtar is an executive with a broad international experience having lead business operations in multinational companies across Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East, and Africa.

He is currently the Regional President for Viatris, leading its operations in the Middle East, North Africa, and Eurasia Region. Viatris is a global healthcare company with a mission to empower people worldwide to live healthier at every stage of life. Viatris provides access at scale, currently supplying high-quality medicines to approximately 1 billion patients around the world annually and touching all of life’s moments, from birth to the end of life, acute conditions to chronic diseases.

Mr. Mokhtar has a passion for improving patient access to medications through innovative approaches, connecting stakeholders on common goals and driving meaningful partnerships in research, awareness, and patient access notably with the Ministry of Health in the UAE, the Ministry of Health and Population in Egypt, NYU Abu Dhabi, Emirates Airlines, and many others.

His contribution to optimize healthcare services and healthcare delivery in the region has been recognized by the industry, advocacy groups and leading business organizations. He is a board member and chairs several leading trade and academia associations. [The U.S. – U.A.E.
