Hatem is an executive coach specializing in resilient teams, cultural awareness training, and 1-on-1 executive coaching. He has worked with leaders in a variety of cultures and industry sectors: Construction, Finance, Sports Marketing, Logistics, research institutes, and Defense R&D.
In K.S.A and U.A.E., Hatem has worked successfully with C-suite executives and entrepreneurs. He applied the Kintla approach successfully with Fugro-Suhaimi. He also worked with NYUAD researchers and professors.
Prior to his executive coaching career, hatem held various roles at Bechtel (engineering and construction) for 26 years. He has extensive line management experience and brings a seasoned approach to his coaching work. For example, was Project Manager on two multi-billion dollar Turnkey Engineering & Construction projects in the U.S., one in the private sector in Oil, Gas and another in the government sector with the Department of Energy.
As a project leader at Bechtel, Hatem mentored and motivated senior personnel to deliver outstanding outcomes. He was the diversity and inclusion executive champion for the one of his recent projects and was instrumental in transforming project leadership into high performing team that produced exceptional results. Throughout his career, hatem has been valued for his ability to facilitate understanding and cooperation between contractors and customers and projects and regulatory agencies and for his ability to understand and integrate different cultural values and perspectives.
Hatem holds a Ph. D. From the University of Texas at Austin in Construction, Engineering, and Project Management, a Master’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley in Earthquake Engineering, and a Bachelors degree from Michigan State University in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Hatem is fluent in Arabic, French, Italian, and Spanish and is keenly aware of the importance of cultural awareness and training needs in multinational companies operating around the world.
