Hichem Bouhlel is the General Manager and Managing Director of SLB UAE. Based in Abu Dhabi, he started this role in December 2019 and is responsible for the overall strategy of the company in the UAE and the business growth including the financial management, service quality, service delivery, operations, local manufacturing, talent management and In-Country value.

Previously, Hichem held a variety of senior roles within SLB internationally, including General manager & Managing Director for Bahrain, MENA Sales and Marketing Director for SLB Information Solutions based out of Dubai; and Sales Director for East Mediterranean region based out of Cairo and North Africa region Sales Director based out of Algiers.

Hichem holds an Engineering degree in Applied Geology and Master’s degree in Geophysics from Paris XI Orsay University in France. He joined Schlumberger as a Project Manager in 2000 in Hassi Messaoud. Before joining SLB, Hichem began his career as an Associate researcher in Italy and a Senior geophysicist in Tunisia.
