As Managing Director of EVAP Investment LLC™, she has been instrumental in developing and executing bespoke and sustainable offset, In-Country Value (ICV), and localization strategies. She consistently challenges traditional offset frameworks, paving the way for transformative solutions. Her deep understanding of the Middle East and North Africa’s business environment has made her a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 companies across defense, aviation, telecommunications, hospitality, energy, and other key sectors.

In addition to her role at EVAP Investment LLC, Kim serves as Head of Marketing at Remah International Group (RIG), where she leads strategic business development initiatives, fosters high-level partnerships with OEMs and technology suppliers, and plays a pivotal role in driving RIG’s visibility within the defense and security sectors. She actively identifies emerging technologies, strengthens supplier networks, and ensures alignment between industry trends and operational objectives. Her role extends to overseeing RIG’s presence at major international defense and technology exhibitions, reinforcing the company’s position as a key player in advanced security solutions.

Kim’s pioneering leadership dates back to her tenure as the first woman President of the American Business Group of Abu Dhabi (2004–2009). Among her notable achievements, she led a crucial industry delegation to the U.S. during the Dubai Ports World crisis, reinforcing the importance of US-UAE collaboration.

A trailblazer in engineering, Kim broke barriers as the first female manufacturing engineer at both Volvo Bus Company and BMY Combat Systems (a BAE Systems company). Her forward-thinking leadership extended to the unmanned systems industry, where, as President of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), she played a key role in advancing global visibility for commercial applications and shaping airspace regulatory discussions during her decade-long tenure on the board.

Kim holds a BSc in Operations Engineering from North Carolina State University. A strong advocate for inspiration as a driver of economic growth and innovation, she previously served as Executive Producer and Host of Inspiration Tuesdays, a platform showcasing global leaders transforming industries and communities across cultural and demographic boundaries.

She is married to Clark Hjelseth, US Army Special Forces (retired), and her son serves as a US Army Aviator.

Kim’s dedication to strategic partnerships, innovation, and industry leadership has positioned her as a key influencer in shaping global business, economic, and policy landscapes.
