Ministry of Investment Opens Channel for Member Input

A delegation of AmCham Abu Dhabi Board members and executive team, led by Chairwoman Lina Lampkin, met with H.E. Mohammad Alhawi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Investment, to discuss how the Chamber can support closer engagement between the Ministry and the U.S. business community in the UAE.
The discussion focused on practical ways for member companies to share their experience and expertise, provide private-sector perspectives on the business and regulatory environment and engage on opportunities that support investment, expansion and long-term growth in the UAE.
H.E. Alhawi said the Ministry wants to hear directly from companies about what is working, where challenges remain and what would make it easier for businesses to invest and grow.
Creating these channels for substantive engagement is central to AmCham Abu Dhabi’s role. By bringing together U.S. businesses, UAE government leaders and expertise from across its industry committees, the Chamber helps ensure that the experience of companies operating in the market can inform discussions on investment, regulation and economic growth.
As AmCham Abu Dhabi marks its 40th year, that mission continues: connecting members with decision-makers, creating opportunities for meaningful private-sector input and advancing a strong environment for U.S. companies to invest, operate and grow in the UAE. The dialogue with the Ministry of Investment is part of that work.
