Salim Mousallam

 Regional Vice President Middle East, Africa & Türkiye 
GE Aerospace Defense & Systems 

Salim is the Regional Vice President – Defense & Systems for GE Aerospace in Middle East, Africa, and Türkiye, where he has the overall responsibility for the defense & systems business in the region, supporting customers and partners in aviation engines and services portfolio, business development, and growing the regional business. Salim is also a member of the Global Advisory Council for PennState University, and he is the president of the vertical flight society- UAE Chapter.

Most recently, Salim was the Executive Director – Decarbonization Strategy and Partnerships for GE Gas Power in Europe, Middle East & Africa where he was responsible for business development and building strategic financial, infrastructure and technology partnerships across the region supporting customers to deliver decarbonization roadmaps and commercial projects to achieve Net-Zero targets which supports positioning GE as the leader in the energy transition. 

Salim started his career at GE in 2006 through the Edison Engineering Development Program in Greenville, SC and Houston, TX. He then joined GE Environmental Services in Atlanta, GA, as a Global Thermal Performance Engineer. In 2011, Salim moved to Saudi Arabia as the Middle East & Africa’s Regional Technical & Engineering Manager for GE Power. From 2014 to 2019, Salim was the Country Manager for GE’s Power Services in Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain. Following that until 2021, Salim was the Executive Sales Director for GE Gas Power where he was responsible for new equipment as well as aftermarket services sales and upgrades in the Gulf and Pakistan regions.

Salim earned a Bachelor of Engineering from Saint Francis University, a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University, an MS in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a dual degree master’s in law (Executive LLM) from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and IE Law School.
