Wael Ismail is the Vice President for Corporate Affairs for Africa, Middle East and South Asia (AMESA). He joined PepsiCo in 2016 and has assumed several roles within the Corporate Affairs function, overseeing an integrated external agenda for PepsiCo in key markets across public policy, government affairs, communications, and social impact/citizenship. He is also part of the Global Corporate Affairs Leadership Team for PepsiCo.

With an experience spanning over 15 years, Wael is a seasoned Public Affairs professional, with a special focus on the Middle East.

Wael represents PepsiCo in various industry bodies and groups including the US Chamber of Commerce (Washington, D.C.), Multinational Companies Business Group (Dubai, UAE), International Advisory Council (Dubai, UAE) and is a frequent participant in key regional forums including the World Government Summit (UAE), WEF MENA, and the Future Investment Initiative (Riyadh, KSA).

Wael is passionate about driving PepsiCo’s Winning with PepsiCo Positive Strategy and Sustainable Food Systems. He is a founding member of Project Circle, a circular economy coalition in the UAE in partnership with the Ministry of Climate Change in the UAE.

Wael is a Jordanian national holding a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics from the American University in Cairo and a Master of Arts (MA) in Middle East Studies from the same university. He has lived, studied, and worked across the Middle East in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and the UAE.
