AmCham Abu Dhabi Hosts President of the American Society of Civil Engineers

AmCham Abu Dhabi hosted the President of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) during her official visit to the UAE. The exclusive, in-person meeting convened a select group of members for a focused discussion on the future of civil engineering, infrastructure resilience, sustainability, and global best practices shaping the built environment.
Opening remarks were delivered by Lina El Labban Lampkin, Chairwoman of AmCham Abu Dhabi, alongside Jason Moore, Board Member and Co-Chair of the U.S.–UAE Government Affairs Committee. The delegation welcomed Marsha D. Anderson Bomar, President of ASCE, together with Elias Boutros Sayah, Founding Member of AmCham Abu Dhabi and Member of the U.S.–UAE Government Affairs Committee.
The discussion examined infrastructure modernization, engineering leadership, and sustainability frameworks, with particular focus on how global standards and cross-border collaboration can contribute to long-term resilience and development across the UAE. Participants exchanged insights on policy alignment, professional leadership, and knowledge transfer between U.S. and UAE stakeholders.
The engagement was advanced by the U.S.–UAE Government Affairs Committee and formed part of AmCham Abu Dhabi’s broader efforts to facilitate high-level dialogue at the intersection of engineering, innovation, and public impact.
