Yassin is the proud father of three daughters, Noor, Raneem and Dima. He is a Palestinian American living and working in Abu Dhabi. He is the son of a fisherman from Haifa. Yassin’s first job was an olive harvester in South Lebanon in the 1970’s and early 1980’s. A summer resident of Miami, Florida. He is the financial controller, finance and accounting advisor at Abu Dhabi Police – GHQ. CPA- licensed in the State of Florida, and is an ACCA and UAECA, a chartered certified accountant in the UK and the UAE. Focused on training and development of local finance staff at Police. In addition, Yassin has accounting and real estate businesses in Miami.

He is a former finance manager at American Express, and has considerable experience in finance, real estate investments, project management and people leadership. A strategic thinker able to translate strategy into business goals and operational initiatives. Successful in building and leveraging relationships, achieving results through others, and adapting quickly to change. Yassin is also a former board member and Treasurer of Amcham – Abu Dhabi. He is also a member of several
committees including Finance, US Public Affairs, and Legal Affairs.

Yassin is a member of the UAE ACCA Country Council. Yassin is an avid history and literature reader, and an observer of current affairs, enjoys kayaking, fishing, indoor cycling, paddle tennis, racquetball, and gardening.
