Position: Temporary Communications Specialist
Duration: June – August 2025 (Temporary)
Job Summary: The American Chamber of Commerce in Abu Dhabi is looking for a creative and proactive Temporary Communications Specialist to support our communications team during a key period. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the Chamber’s external and internal communications efforts and gain valuable experience in a dynamic international environment.
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting in the creation and distribution of engaging content for various channels, including website updates, social media posts, and email newsletters.
- Supporting the development and execution of communication plans for upcoming events and initiatives.
- Drafting and editing press releases, articles, and other communication materials.
- Monitoring media coverage and providing reports as needed.
- Supporting internal communication efforts to keep members informed including the first line of membership management communictions for potential members.
- Supporting Programs manager with the maintenance of the Chamber’s very active website and social media platforms.
- Owning the production of various digital communications materials using basic graphic design tools or liaising with agency partners.
- Speech writing for Board Members, Executive Director, VIPs and dignitaries
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, bilingual Arabic language is a plus.
- Exceptionally strong attention to detail and proofreading abilities.
- Full undertstanding of social media platforms and digital communication tools.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet fast rush deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Economics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in communications or marketing is an advantage.
