Events Intern
AmCham Abu Dhabi

Position:         Events Intern

Duration:        November – December 2025

Hours: Maximum 20 hours per week

Job Summary: The Events Intern will assist the Events team in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of AmCham Abu Dhabi’s programs and events. This internship provides hands-on experience in event management, logistics coordination, and member engagement within a professional international business environment. The intern will gain exposure to the full event cycle — from planning and marketing support to on-site coordination and post-event follow-up.

Responsibilities:

Event Support

  • Assist in the coordination of logistics for events, including preparing materials, name badges, and signage.
  • Support the registration process by maintaining accurate RSVP and attendance lists.
  • Provide on-site assistance during events, including setup, guest check-in, and general support for attendees.
  • Help maintain event photo records and electronic files for documentation.
  • Assist in post-event wrap-up activities such as collecting feedback and organizing files.

Administrative Assistance

  • Support the Events team in maintaining the master event calendar and updating event schedules.
  • Help draft basic event-related correspondence such as invitation emails, thank-you notes, and event summaries (under supervision).
  • Provide administrative support for meetings, including preparing agendas and taking notes.
  • Maintain organized digital and hard-copy records for all events.

Vendor & Venue Coordination

  • Assist in researching and shortlisting potential event venues, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Support coordination with vendors for small event requirements (printing, gifts, banners, etc.).
  • Help compile vendor contact lists and maintain updated records.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Events Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and eagerness to learn.
  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented and multicultural environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with Google Workspace tools.
  • Flexibility to assist during occasional evening or weekend events.
