Chief Executive’s Message
Dear AmCham Abu Dhabi Community,
Welcome to 2024! It’s hard to believe only one year ago, we kicked it off beautifully with the remarkable Roundtable Summit the second week of January, and continued through Arab Health, GreenTech, IDEX, ADIPEC, The MedHealth Forum, Dubai Air Show, Abu Dhabi Financial Week, and COP28 – just to mention a few. All in all, AmCham Abu Dhabi delivered an impressive 147 events, not including private engagement meetings.
Thanks to the incredible and invaluable support of our Falcon Members ExxonMobil, Johnson & Johnson, Raytheon Emirates, and Viatris; Eagle Members Lockheed Martin and L3Harris; and our amazing group of Platinum member companies, our ability to embody the Organizational Vision as an innovative organization creating trusted commercial partnerships that broaden U.S. – U.A.E. relationships grows.
As we look ahead to this year, you can expect:
- Continued programming excellence from our 18+ sector committees; with at least two BRAND NEW Committees – TBA
- Tangible and measurable results through innovative small group engagements, programming, and relationships
- Focused Collaboration with US, UAE, and international trade entities, designed to showcase community participation, leadership, and communication.
- Spotlight on the Members: an eye towards you, your personal growth, as well as your Company and its strategic goals
- Unrelenting commitment to our mission of connecting, collaborating, and communicating for all our members
AmCham Abu Dhabi members, thank you for your continued support.
But NOW is the time to STEP UP! We have the Board of Directors Elections coming up in 2nd Quarter, and we are looking to welcoming many new candidates to join those selfless volunteers who already give so generously to AmCham Abu Dhabi efforts. It truly takes a Village.
We’d love to see more of you attending and engaging with the Committees – this will help build your networking relationships, and raise your profile within our membership AND the greater Abu Dhabi business community. The AmCham Abu Dhabi website lists all the Committees – FREE to join; an invaluable investment of your time.
For those of you who renewed, thank you! And if you have not renewed yet, please take a moment and do so – EVERY dirham counts and we spend every dirham for the members.
I look forward to quality time with you this year, and we have many exciting updates throughout the year. But please, keep 2024’s focus in mind: TOGETHER we are strongest. Please join a committee or two, consider running for the Board, and above all, attend events.
